Happy Mothers Day

I have so much I wanna say but I don't know how to put into words. This weekend is Mother's Day. Just like last year, I did the Susan G Komen 5K Race for the Cure. It is AMAZING to do this! This year I didn't make it on time for our team photo but that's ok, a lot of people didn't. Parking is awful downtown! They estimated over 17,000 people who did the race. I felt like I was at the end of the group but I looked back and realized I had to of been in the middle. The "race" started at 8:30 and we got done at about 9:45. Not bad!! There were TONS of "survivors" who walked this year, some were walking with family and some were walking alone. I saw this little white haired man (had to be around 70) walking and on his back was a sign that said "I race for my wife". I just get chills and tears just thinking of all the people affected (guess it hits a little home)

I can't even express all my love and gratitude for my own mom at this time! I know this week I gave her a hard time because it was her birthday (but hey, the older I get the older she gets :)). My mom is an AMAZING lady. I know she doesn't really like Mother's Day but mom, appreciate it! I thought of you the whole time walking today. I was walking for you, your sisters, grandma Nell.. and all of the Olsen girls. Just hoping, we don't have to go through it... AGAIN... Mom, thank you for being so supportive of me, my brother and my sisters. I know you don't always like our choices, but I know that you will always love me and be there for me with open arms. I hope you had a great time in Park City and had a great birthday! I love you mom!

To my sisters and sister in law: I know I may not be the happiest person in the world :) but I am so thankful for you. I love my neices and nephews so much. I'm so glad that this week I got the biggest surprise and that was to get to see the newest member of the family, Baby Isaac. I love hearing my neices and nephews tell me they love me and give me the biggest hugs (or Morgan being stingy with her hugs). Thanks for letting me call you at any time and letting me vent. I know Tammy gets texts all the time, even if it is just to find Lexi! :) I love when the kids call me just to say hi, my favorite of all is knowing that Tyler is able to talk now and he wants to talk on the phone. Nancy will call just so he can call. The other day, he was playing with the phone and called me on accident and I had to tell him to give the phone to his mom, I think it took Nancy by surprise! :) I love you guys and I know I don't tell you enough.

To my ALL my family (don't know if ANY of them read this): Thank you for being you. You are all supportive to my family.

Again, I just want to tell the ladies close to me, mothers or not, that you are all great.

Last year I made vinyl signs for my sisters that said "The Greatest Accomplishment in life call me MOM" The vinyl I made for my mom and my Aunt Linda said "Even if I don't hug you everyday, Remember that I will always Love you"

I'm being honest, I didn't get any cards or anything out to anyone this year. I will call you guys tomorrow, sorry that's all I have. It is getting harder and harder on me not having kids when things like this come around. I want kids and I want to celebrate it as a MOTHER not just as an AUNT.

Happy Mothers Day to every Mother in my life! I love you all and I hope you all get taken care of!

Happy Mothers Day

I am not a big fan of this day. I love my mom and sisters, it's just hard when it is dedicated to all mothers and I am not a mother. I want children SOO bad!

I have an amazing mom who is there for me whenever I need her. And I have 3 amazing sisters who I don't know what I would do without them. They have brought 6 of the most precious gifts into my life, each one a little different. I was getting a little stressed because the stuff for the gifts I was making hadn't come until Friday. So I stayed up until 11 pm to make them. I know, 11 pm on a Friday night.. WOW. But the next day I had to get up early for the Race for the Cure Breast Cancer walk.

I made this craft for my mom and dad. It is for their birthday/mothers day/fathers day (I will still get them something for fathers day) I also made one for my Aunt Linda. I know how it feels not having kids of your own, so I thought of her and made her a Mothers Day gift.

This was my Mothers Day gift for my 3 sisters. I wanted it to be JUST PERFECT! Since the stuff didn't come until Friday, Chantel's will be late getting to her (sorry Chantel)

While I was doing the Race for the Cure walk, I couldn't help but think of the ladies in my own family. Breast cancer runs in the family. When my Grandma Nell died, her cancer had metastasized and they don't know the original origin. But over the past few years, 2 of my moms cousins have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Walking for this GREAT cause with almost 17,000 people just had chills down my spine. According to the Susan G Komen website, $215,918.23 Raised. And that wass just raised in Utah. This is a nationwide event. On a side note, that's why I enjoy working where I work. I work at Myriad Laboratory where they do genetic testing for Breast Cancer. I know, that I gave Grandma Nell a great gift for Mothers Day, walking in the walk. All the money raised goes to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Happy Mothers Day to my family! I love you all!

Happy Birthday, MOM

Yes, it is ANOTHER birthday! This time it is moms. That's why I had to let Dad get all the glory of a birthday for a full day before Mom got the glory of a full day of a birthday!

Mom is always there for me. I know sometimes when I call, I will be on a "can I talk to dad" kick. And mom will say yes. I hope she doesn't take any offense. But she knows that then there are those times that I will be on the "can I talk to mom" kick.

I love you mom so much. I know I don't tell you enough. I know this past year has been hard for you. I know it made you so happy having all your kids together at Thanksgiving AND Christmas. That was probably the best Christmas present anyone could have given you. I know it wasn't under the best circumstances, but I know you were so proud to have all your kids together since it has been forever since that has happened.

You are so proud of all your grandkids. Each one holds a special place in your heart. You are so talented and I really am proud of that, I make sure to tell everyone at my work how talented you are! (the lady at my work is so grateful for you of sharing your cross-stitching secrets)

You and Dad are the best parents anyone could ever ask for! You guys show so much love and support. I know my friends tell me all the time that I am so spoiled by my parents, what is a girl supposed to do when her parents love her so much.. RIGHT? :)

Hope you have a great birthday. I love you!

Happy Mothers Day

First I want to start out by saying Happy Mothers Day to my own Mother. There aren't words to express how much I love her and how much she means to me. You have always been there for me. Here are somethings about my mom on why I love her so much:
*Always there for me, even when I thought I didn't need her
*Takes care of when I've had my surgeries.
*She is a great listener and a great mom.
*Her and dad pray for all the kids daily and they are very specific in their prayers.
*She understands me when others don't.
*I love sitting on the floor in front of her and having her play with my hair. Or I will lay my head in her lap (the small lap she has hehe) and have her run her fingers through my hair.
*Most of all, I love her so much because she is my mom! If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be half the person I was today!
*And MANY MANY MORE!
Happy Mothers Day MOM!! I love you!

Tammy~ You are my oldest sister. Again, no words can express how much I love and appreciate her and everything she does for me. Here are things I love about her:
*You have taught me so much
*Have 3 kids who I totally adore. I love when Koy lays down by me, he says "Icky lay down on me" and he pats his belly. I call him my snuggle muffin and he tells me he's my shadow.
*Tammy is such an unselfish mother and very grateful for her children!
*Hard worker for her family.
*Loves to do crafts when she is able to. One year she made me a scrapbook for my birthday of my nieces and nephews (which by the way you need to add Max, Tyler, and Koy)
*I know you are going through a rough time right now, just remember we're your family and we love you. Do what's best for your kids.
*I love you Tammy, you're one of my best friends. I'm glad you live only 5 minutes away!
*AND MANY MANY MORE!
Happy Mothers Tammy! I love you!

Chantel~ You are my sister in law but I don't look at you like that... You are part of the family like everyone else.. whether you like it or not.. TOUGH! :) Here are some things that I love about Chantel (and there are MANY more):
*You married my brother!
*You have stuck by him through med school and been a big support to him.
*2 adorable little kids (I HEAR they can be a little sassy, I don't believe it!:))
*You are VERY crafty and you own your business of making hair bows.
*You are a great listener. You always tell me that if I need to talk that I can call you. That really means a lot to me.
*You are very supportive to me. The time I was admitted to the hospital, I remember you and Barrett drove down from Logan to be with me. That really meant a lot.
*AND MANY MANY MORE
*I want you to know that you are part of the Labrum family... You are my sister... Not JUST my sister-in-law.
Happy Mother Day Chantel. I love you!

Nancy~ You are my older sister. I know we have had many fights throughout the years. Some are over little petty things that big sis/little sis fight over. But I think that we can both say that we have grown up. There are so many things why I love you, here are a few:
*You endeavor many trials every day with our little man Tyler
*You have 1 very special little boy name.... BUBBA! aka TYLER
*You and Dallas are doing so well down in the hot AZ sun.
*You are a great listener and from what I hear, you understand everyone! :)
*I love our daily talks and being able to talk to Tyler.
*I know we butt heads a lot, I just want people to accept me for me. And I can tell you're learning how I am.
*You try to understand my feelings but I don't think anyone truly will. And you know what I'm talking about when I say that.
*I love your support. You and Dallas are always so supportive of me and my choices.
*And MANY MANY MORE
Happy Mothers Day Nancy! I love you!
