Happy Birthday, Max

Happy Birthday Max! It was SO good to see you Christmas Morning. I wish we were able to spend MORE time with you for your 5th birthday. You have grown up so much. You and Morgan are such good friends. I love how you would run around on Christmas morning and look at me with your hands as an "X" and say "NO MORE KISSIES!" and get closer and closer to me, and would LAUGH so hard when I would grab to give you kissies. I am glad to know I am your Aunt Nicky with the Kissy Lips. I loved spending a few days with you this past summer at Grandma and Grandpa's with you and Morgan and we got to go fishing. It was so much fun. I wish that I could have had a sleep over at my house like I have all the other kids, but it just didn't fit in with the schedule. We will have to get it to work this next time you guys come out to visit. I love you! I hope you had a fun time for your birthday. You are 5!

A year has passed

I can't believe a year has passed since Grandpa has passed. It was actually yesterday (Saturday). So many emotions came back. I remember that dreaded call I got from dad, I didn't believe what he said, I had him repeat it a few times and I finally broke down and just bawled at my desk. I left work early because I just wanted my mom. I had called Mitch, we decided that we would travel together. We would meet at the 7-11 by my house and follow each other down to Orangeville. The whole way down I just thought about my mom. I wanted to make sure she was ok. I knew she was with my dad, and he would make sure that she was ok. I just wanted to put my arms around her. I wanted to hug her, I just wanted to be with my parents.

When I got down to Orangeville, my mom was still at my grandparents house. They were starting to look through papers and the Watson/Wilsons were there. And Ruanne was there. They were talking about the obituary and how that would go about. They were meeting with Faucett Mortuary the next morning, Linda was coming down that morning to be there with the family. Kent and Landon ran over to BK's and picked up pizza for everyone.

That next morning, I went with my parents to the mortuary. A lot of the funeral plans were already made, Grandpa did that before. He wants RED ROSES for his flowers so that made it easy for us to pick out flowers. Kristi soon came. We all walked downstairs and looked at caskets. It didn't take long, we looked at the casket and we knew THAT ONE was "IT". We then all met over at Gordon's for the flowers. The grandkids decided on making a wreath to set at Grandma and Grandpa's headstone every year for christmas. It had christmas bulbs on it with all of our names on it. Just thinking of it makes me cry. It is something that we will always have of up there. We also put pinecones and holly berries in the red roses arrangements. It looked beautiful.

The funeral and burial were beautiful. Grandpa would have loved it! They Orangeville City had the Bell ringing while driving up to the cemetery, gives me chills. That was Grandpa's doing, HE brought the bell back! It snowed so much! The cemetery was so peaceful with all the snow (very cold too). Hearing the horn play since by grandpa was a Veteran. It was the most beautiful graveside.

It was so nice to have the family there. Yes were were missing some people, but they were in our hearts. Now that a year has passed, I know that it doesn't always get easier. But at least the first year is gone. I have missed my grandpa so much this past year. He was an amazing man. There are times I will sit and think that my grandparents are watching over me. I have angels, I have 4 up there!

I miss you Grandpa! Your legacy lives on. We all miss you (grandchildren picture we are missing Todd and Nancy, great-grandchildren picture we are missing Tyler)

I'm Back

I didn't realize it has been this long since I posted.

Well, the holidays are here again. I love this time of year! I got my tree up before Thanksgiving. I got a new tree this year, after 10 years of the other tree (that I had of it) it was time to get rid of it. Mom had it before in her classroom, so it's done its duty. I also got new ornaments. I kept looking at the tree after I had it up for a while, it just looked like something was missing. I realized that it needed icicles. I dug thru my cedar chest and found the pack of icicles that mom got for me a few years ago that are exactly the kind we had growing up. I just put a few around the tree. It made my tree so perfect.

I have really enjoyed doing a lot of christmas crafts this year. I did 3 just this past week.

I tried the scrapbook paper on the "L", and it was so easy and turned out really good!

This one is my favorite!

Last year it seemed like I didn't really get to enjoy Christmas at my new apartment because I was moving in the month of December. This year, I have taken full advantage of it.

I hope I will be better at posting. I just want to tell my family Happy Holidays! Thank you for everything you have done for me this past year. I love you all!

Happy Birthday, Kayden

Happy Birthday Buddy! I remember the day you were born, your mom didn't even realize she was going to have you. You have been the first miracle in our family. The past year, I have been so amazed at so much you have become independent. You have started to take your medicine by yourself and now you are going to school. Hearing you talk about school just makes me so happy. I love you so much Bud! I am so glad that you live close and we can have our time together. You make me laugh with the little things you say and do. You are such a good big brother to Koy, and you love Lexi so much! I hope you had a good birthday! So now I will just say bye and let you go play!

Happy Birthday, Koy

Happy Birthday Koy

Kayden kissing Koy right after he was born, from day 1 they had such a bond!

Happy Birthday Koy! I love you! I don't know where our life would be without you. You can be such entertainment. You and Kayden are such best friends, I know if I can't find you, look for Kayden. If you're not with Kayden, you're with Lexi. You love your brother and sister so much. You say some of the funniest things "Mom, you are such a GREAT driver with 2 hands" and I just loved how you walked up to the lady at Wal-Mart yesterday and told her your birthday was on 10/10/10 and you'll be 4. Koy has no fear and will do anything, but don't bring a FLY around..:) You are so loving, I know that there will always be a big hug and kiss when I come around you. Even if I do give you a "fart kiss" and you throw a fit! :) I hope you have a good birthday!

This is a typical Koy picture now. Always has to throw up the "DEUCES" sign

At the 24th of July Parade in Orangeville, this is Koy sat almost the the entire time. He told everyone else to go get him candy and he sat there with his legs crossed drinking is Orange Soda.

Happy Birthday, Tyler

So many memories come back to me this special day. It is my nephew Tyler's birthday. He was born 3 months early. I got a call in the middle of the night by my dad to get up to SLC, Nancy was having a baby. I got woke up, and I thought I had slept thru 3 months! Until realization hit, and it was only September. My sweet roommates drove me up and sat with me at the U of U hospital, we weren't sure which hospital he was going to be transferred to. Finally we got the word, Tyler was born. 1 lbs 11 oz, 13 inches long! SOO little!! He was being transferred to LDS Hospital. My roommates took me there, I told them I would be ok and they could go home. I sat there on the curb, finally the life flight helicopter came. I was the family rep, Nancy and Dallas as were at the hospital on the other end of the valley. Life flight nurses asked if I was the aunt the family said would be there, I said yes, they told me to follow. I had to follow fast. I went with them up to the NICU. Before they took him in to get him settled, they asked if I wanted to see him. OF COURSE! He looked so little. I sat there waiting for someone else to show up.

I went up almost every other day to see my little buddy the whole time he was in the hospital (LDS and PCMC). I was so excited (and scared) the day Nancy asked me if I was ready to hold him. I just sat there looking at him and couldn't believe it! He was a miracle.

I love having them close. He makes me laugh. Everytime he has a new phrase, Nancy calls me and he has to tell Aunt Nicky Mouse. It has been amazing seeing him progress sooo much the last few months. Saturday at his party he was such a little talker. He made sure everyone knew when it was time to clap. He would say "everybody say LIMBO!" "Everybody say CLAP!" and if people didn't clap, he would count, "one, two, three! CLAP!" Saturday me and Tyler were just laying on the blanket outside, and we were just laughing at each other. I feel a special bond with him. I love teaching him new words (pooh pooh, or MISSION COMPLETED!)

Happy Birthday Tyler! I love you so much! You are such a miracle!

Celebration week for the Ware/Olsen

This week is birthday filled in the family. On the 19th, mom and dad celebrated their 33rd anniversay. Happy Anniversary Mom! Here is to another 33!

Yesterday was Grandma Nell and Todd's birthday. I don't have a pic of Todd, only one I have is of me, him and Chels, when we were just little.. Happy 28th Birthday Todd! :)

Grandma Nell would have been 76 yesterday. It was her first birthday with my grandpa in 30 years. I bet they had a great time!

Saturday we are having the Olsen family reunion. It would be Grandma Olsen's 102 birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma Olsen!

I hope I didn't miss anyone!Just a fun filled week in the family. Nancy got her own post so I didn't forget her! Happy Birthday everyone!

Happy Birthday, Nancy

I know it is late.. I had a dentist appointment in Provo to get my cavities filled (only a few, not bad after not going for 2 years) My mouth was completely numb, you can ask Nancy on that one.. Or ask Jeff (the dentist) he was pretty proud of himself. He was laughing at me because I literally couldn't talk because my tongue was so numb.

Just wanted to tell Nancy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I know this isn't the first time I've told you today. I told you last night when I was being the BEST sister EVER and babysat Tyler so you could take your husband to the instacare to get his stitches. Then I told you today, when again, I was the best sister EVER and stopped in to say hi on my way back from the dentist. I know we have our differences, what sisters don't. But I am glad you are back here in UT and I am able to go down to your house and "hang out" with you. I know we don't really do a lot but just hang out at the house and make Tyler laugh, but that's the best. You know it is the best when your son is laughing so hard at us that he lays down in the grass and sighs because he's been laughing. Then gets up and asks for "MORE" and all we were doing was bumping the volleyball back and forth to each other until some rude person hits me in the eye and then that REALLY got Tyler laughing! :)

I'm glad I have got to know you guys better and I have getting such a close bond with Tyler. I don't know how many names he has called me now. It was Aunt Nicky Poo Poo, then Aunt Nicky Mouse. Then today, he started calling me Aunt Mickey Mouse. . On the phone has has called me Goofy, Baby Einstein and Donald Duck. I'm glad that you guys call me when he gets a new word. It really makes my day.

I hope you enjoyed your dinner at Red Lobster and Tyler enjoyed the Cake. :)

Read the lyrics to Tim McGraw's "In my next 30 Years"
I think I’ll take a moment, celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it’s time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years

Hey my next thirty years I’m gonna have some fun
Try to forget about all the crazy things I’ve done
Maybe now I’ve conquered all my adolescent fears
And I’ll do it better in my next thirty years

My next thirty years I’m gonna settle all the scores
Cry a little less, laugh a little more
Find a world of happiness without the hate and fear
Figure out just what I’m doing here
In my next thirty years

Oh my next thirty years, I’m gonna watch my weight
Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late
Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers
Maybe I’ll remember my next thirty years

My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here ,In my next thirty years

In my next thirty years

Happy Birthday Nancy!

Favorite Campfire Song...

We would sing this campfire song every year on the weekend of the 4th of July when we were up camping at Indian Creek with the Olsen/Peacock/Ware family. Everytime I think of this song, I think of Uncle Jim. :) When I took the pictures of Potter's Pond, it makes me just LOVE the mountains and where I grew up!

I love the mountains.
I love the rolling hills.
I love the flowers.
I love the daffodils.
I love the fireside.
When all the lights are low

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
.

I love the flowers.
I love the daffodils.
I love the mountains.
I love the rolling hills.
I love the fireside.
When all the lights are low.

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.

We walk together.
Hike by the quiet stream.
Watch for the sunrise.
Breathing the air so clean.
When we're together,
Sharing our fondest dreams

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.

Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.
Boom dee ah dah. Boom dee ah dah.

Great month!

I had a great month of July! Got to spend quality time with all my nieces and nephews. Nancy and Dallas invited me to be with them the 4th of July, well the 3rd of July. We went to the Murray Parade. That afternoon I went down to their house and played with Tyler. We had so much fun. Tyler laughed and had so much fun watching me and Nancy bump the volleyball to each other. He laughed so hard that he fell over. That night, me, Nancy, Dallas and Dallas' parents watched the fireworks being shot off from Thanksgiving Pointe. It wasn't the best view from their front lawn, but it was alright.

The next weekend, I went down to Mom and Dads and spent the weekend with Max and Morgan. We had so much fun. We went fishing at Potter's Pond and went swimming down at the pool. Morgan was a good sport about fishing, Max pretty much just sat in the chair and wanted food. :) We were lucky and caught 6 fish! Barrett and Chantel picked up the kids at Murray Park. We had a nice lunch with all the cousins (little kids) together. Grandma and Grandpa took all the kids to the slide and enjoyed having all the kids together.

July 20, I went to Park City for our Sales Convention at work. We were able to meet our Account Executives (AE) for our area that we work with. The area I work with is the Capital area, so my AE's are all from Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Jersey... It was good to finally meet them. We did a team building event at The Canyons Resort where we had to find "flags". Then we had a nice dinner and got to spend time up there before we had to head back.

This is my Capital team with our Vice President Todd Ogaard and one of our AE's Jonathan Katchmore

The weekend of the 24th, I went down to Orangeville. I had the 23rd off, so I took off that morning and headed on down. Got down to OV and went swimming with the kids. Tyler is such a hoot in the pool. That night they had the childrens parade and the famous LAMB FRY!! The morning of the 24th, dynamite started bright and early by Danny. Tammy headed off to the 5K run. We went to the parade and then to the events at the park. After spending time at the park, we went up to the mountains but Nancy and Dallas already went up to Potter's fishing. We all headed up. We caught 10 fish in 2 hours! Lexi is a good caster, she's going to be Grandpa's fishing buddy! After we were done fishing, we had our tin foil dinner at the camp site, roasted a few marshmellows then went home. It was a good 24th of July.

It was a great July! I am an Orangeville girl at heart! It will always be home!

Happy Birthday, Barrett

Sorry Barrett, gotta keep the tradition of posting the "helmet" picture! :)
Happy Birthday! You are a great big brother. You are such a good example to me and I don't know how I was able to get such a smart brother. Growing up, I had to share a room with you (and we had the most awesome wallpaper) and I had to put up with you laying on MY bed drawing the Chicago Bulls logo on YOUR bed since we had bunk beds. I remember you always wanted to be a doctor and look at you now. You are a doctor. You have amazing little kids who I just love (even if Max doesn't let me kiss him) You have pushed your way thru college with a family and you have made your dreams come true.

You are such a sweet man. I love the picture of you helping Mom at Grandpa's funeral. It was such a snowy day and you were such a gentleman to walk over and give Mom your arm to hold on to so she wouldn't fall. Nancy captured a GREAT picture. Chantel is a lucky woman!

Hope you have a great day! Love ya and can't wait to see you!

Happy Fathers Day

I know the day is almost over but that's ok. I just want to leave a message and tell the Fathers in my family HAPPY FATHERS DAY! I have the most amazing Dad. My dad will do anything for us. He is so hard working, I have even had to tell him it's ok NOT to work (when he had knee surgery and the dr had to order him NOT to work). My brother Barrett and my 2 brother-in-laws, Happy Fathers Day to you. You guys have given me 6 of the cutest nieces and nephews! I love each and every one of them so much. I hope you all enjoyed your day. I love you all! I have thought of my 2 Grandpa's today. They are no longer here. I have not seen my Grandpa Labrum in 24 years. Grandpa Rue, he just passed away in December. Growing up, we would always have a Fathers Day party on his deck with the rest of the Ware crew. So, Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers in my family. Love you guys!

Happy Birthday, Morgan!!

I can't believe she is 6! She is such a cute little girl and says some of the funniest things that we can't help but laugh. She is very protective of her brother Max. She LOVES horses! Morgan, I love you so much! You are growing up so much! I hope you have a happy birthday. I have a card in the mail for you. This year I decided since last year I did big gifts for the kids, this year I would just give them money (the same amount I would use on a gift). You can spend the money anyway you want, it's your birthday! I love you! Happy Birthday sweet girl! Aunt Nicky loves you SOOOO much!

Make a Wish

Kayden was born with Hypoplastic Kidney Disease. His kidneys stopped growing in utero. Right after he turned 2, he was given the best gift someone could ever give him. A second chance of life! A family who had just lost their loved one decided to donate the organs. Kayden was able to receive one of those organs and it was the kidney. On Nov.14 2006 he underwent a kidney transplant.

This past December, Tammy was able to contact the Utah Chapter of Make a Wish and they were able to get things started for Kayden to make his wish. On Jan 8, Kayden has his official WISH DAY! He wished to go to Disneyworld and to meet Buzz Lightyear.

They were able to go April 26-May 2. This past Friday, Make a Wish had a party for Kayden to raise his star to the ceiling because his wish was granted. It was a neat experience to go and be a part of.

West Jordan High did a fundraiser this year and the money went to Make a Wish. They raised over $15,000!!! The average wish is $5,000. This is a few of the kids from the student council. They are AMAZING!

Kayden's cake.. Notice it is TOY STORY

West Jordan High council and Kayden's wish granters

My favorite picture! It was so touching. While he was raising his star, it was SILENT! They were playing "When you wish upon a star" had to hold back the tears. He has gone thru so much!!

HIS STAR!

In the WISH ROOM! This room was MAGICAL!

Kayden and "THE WJH GIRLS"

This experience was amazing. I am so proud to be Kaydens aunt. He is such an amazing little boy. He is one of my heroes! I love you Kayden. Thank you for inviting me to your party!
