Finally got an answer to......
Why I have been so sick!!!!!! When I went into the dr's last week they ran the rapid strep and influenza test. Both came back negative. The dr said my throat was REALLY red so she is sending it off to the lab. Well, I had a phone call from the dr personally telling me to call her back (left a message on voicemail). So I called her back and she asked how I have been feeling. I told her I have been feeling AWFUL!!!My right ear and the right side of my throat is really really hurting! She said "well, i have an answer to why that is...." ok and......... "you have a small rare strand of strep that has grown, I am just calling to tell you that I am calling in some antibiotics for you" and wants all the info as to where and if I'm allergic to anything. Then I asked her if she could PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me cough SYRUP! She said that she gave me tylenol 3 w/codeine last week, did that not help.. I said no, they were pills.. I want the cough SYRUP w/CODEINE, the liquid stuff... She acted surprised that I was the liquid stuf. I have been coughing so bad. I go to pick up the prescriptions from Walmart... They have the antibiotics, but no cough syrup. They said that they dont have that on stock. So I hope I will be ok. I just doped myself up with the tylenol 3 tonight, that will help with the pain. I am here with a cotton ball in my ear for that pain, can't eat because of the pain with my throat... I am completely miserable.. All I have to say is... THANK GOODNESS IT"S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!! :) I hope nobody gets this, OR they get a dr that will help you out!!!!!So now I am expecting lots of gifts! :) hehehehe

I am still alive!
I know it is has been a while since I wrote last.. I am STILL trying to get over this sickness. I don't know what it is! I had that ear infection. I took the 15 days worth of antibiotics that the drs gave me and it still didn't go away. I didn't feel AS bad but I just wasn't feeling myself.
This last weekend I went down to EC. It was nice to get away. It has been a while since I have been down there (since Christmas). I got down there Saturday afternoon. It was a much needed break. I stayed until Tuesday afternoon. Dad had surgery Monday, so I stuck around and helped out. I froze with mom in the hospital. We were joking around saying that the hospital created their own patients because they were causing us hypothermia. I went out to the explorer and got the John Deere blankets that we always keep out there and we tried to get warm by that and we both had our hoodies on to keep our heads warm. After our pager went off saying dad was out of surgery, we went back into SDS, the nice nurse back there gave us both a heated blanket from the warming machine. It was just a long day since dad had to be there at 9 and they didn't get him in to surgery until about 1:30. So when he came out, he was sick. Not from the anesthesia, but from hunger! We got him home about 8:30, and I ran over to Food Ranch and him food. After this surgery, he didn't want Oreos, he wanted Tapioca Pudding!!
Tuesday morning, I went down to the EC clinic and had Dr Lowell check out my ears again because they were started to hurt really bad again. He said there was nothing in them. He did a little culture thing and it came out fine. He said that he thinks there is some kind of fungus in my ear causing the pain. He gave me eardrops that would numb them and they have worked. As the week has gone on, I kept getting more sick. Now I have a really bad cough and congestion along with this earache. I went to the dr's office right down the road from my house. They got me right in. By this time, I have been up coughing for 2 nights, my throat hurts to swallow, my ears hurt, my head is pounding, and I am really congested. Dr Carol Cheney looked in my ears and once again said nothing is in my ears. Looked in my throat and said that it was really red. I was not able to get a flu shot when they offered it at my work because I had a spinal tap that day. So she did an influenza test and a rapid strept test, both came back negative. But the "fungal" infection has turned into a viral and has now made me feel awful! So now I'm back to square 1 feeling really sick! So for 1 full month, I have been really sick and with no answers!!! I have been drinking lots of water and taking lots of cold medication (treating the symptoms) because thats all they can do with a viral infection..
Well, I hope everyone else stays away from this sickness.. it is not fun!!! I will talk to you guys later!

We are in HIS hands
Today I got the opportunity to go to Pres. Hinckley's viewing. IT WAS AMAZING! Me and my roommate fought the snow and got on the PACKED trax and got the the LDS Conference Center at about 9:30. It was amazing to be that close to the prophet and to see how many people came to respect him and to see him. The spirit in the Conference Center was amazing. When you got the doors, you could just feel the spirit overwhelm you. The closer you got, the stronger the spirit got. Pres Hinckley looked so peaceful! The flower arrangements were so gorgeous! I loved the flower arrangement from his great-grandchildren that said "grandpa, we will always.. BE" then it mentioned the "BE's attitudes" that Pres Hinckley is famous for and then it had listed all of his great-children. Another flower arrangement that really pretty was one from his grandchildren. Every family was in a different color of rose. The Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii had this GORGEOUS laie that was out for display. It was just amazing! I am so grateful I got the opportunity to go!
I am now browsing through talks that Pres Hinckley has made over the years, and I will just post some things that stuck out:
"I wish today to speak of forgiveness. I think it may be the greatest virtue on earth, and certainly the most needed. There is so much of meanness and abuse, of intolerance and hatred. There is so great a need for repentance and forgiveness. It is the great principle emphasized in all of scripture, both ancient and modern."- Oct Conference 2005
"We’ve walked together side by side through all of these years, coequals and companions through storm and sunshine" Talking about Sister Hinckley right before she passed away in the April Conference 2004
"May we go forward with determination to try a little harder to be a little better." April Conference 1995
He was such a great man!
